I have been fencing for over 6 years, and compete at a state and national level. In illustration I describe dynamic action using a range of tools: Japanese brushes in different sizes, satay skewers, chopsticks, nibs, and sometimes my fingers.

Ask for the Moon (2018) is an illustrated history and case study of how one of Hong Kong’s biggest film studios, Shaw Brothers, changed kung fu movies forever.
I illustrated 14 pages, and also illustrated and designed the cover, the cover font, and typeset and laid out the book.

Oddities dating back to 1999: adventures around West Africa, Philippines, India, Italy, France, Morocco, UK, and South East Asia. Animal sketches including dogs, puffins and sea creatures of the deep (but mostly Flashman the cat). Visual diaries of interesting sights out and about, fencing in Turin, and chaps and ladies in protective suits.
